Joe Vella is a Director and Director of Photography with experience in the food and beverage tabletop market, shooting campaigns with Makers Mark, Jim Beam, Bakers, Legent, Suntory, Western Standard, and Hard Truth.Vella specializes in slow motion filmmaking and visual engineering, with a style that captures the visual essence of a good pour of whiskey, warm and intoxicating.
In addition to commercial work, Vella received a Documentary Emmy nomination in cinematography for the feature length film, Pressing On: The Letterpress Film.
Vella co-owns a production company, Bayonet Media, whose clients include Disney, AT&T, GE and Toyota. Vella’s and Bayonet Media’s commercial work has been recognized with more than 20 Emmy’s and other advertising awards.
